American Legion Post 269 - Patchogue NY

American Legion Patchogue Post 269 is proud to announce the Pauline J. King Memorial Scholarship.  This scholarship will be awarded once a year in the amount of $1,000.  The deadline for applications is April 1, 2022.

Pauline King served in the Army National Guard for 25 years.  She continued her service to veterans by working at the VA hospital in Northport.  She was a member of our Post for 15 years, and served as Adjutant, 2nd Vice Commander, and 1st Vice Commander during her time in the Post.  Pauline passed away in 2021.

This scholarship is for high school seniors in either Patchogue-Medford School District or South Country School District.  Qualifying students must be panning on pursuing a career relating to public service such as education, healthcare, police, fire, social work or other public service-related area. Students should show a record of volunteerism in the community, non-school sponsored activities, and extracurricular school activities
